Lewis University | Office of Sponsored Programs

Welcome

Lewis University is committed to fostering the pursuit of research and scholarship among its faculty and students.  The 2017-2022 Strategic Plan identifies research as a pivotal process that fosters academic innovation, creates transformative learning experiences, and raises the regional profile of Lewis University.  Securing grants from external sources provides resources for research, education, and scholarship that would not otherwise be available, enabling faculty to produce new knowledge which in turn enriches student learning.

The specific mission of the Office of Sponsored Programs is to assist faculty and students in their efforts to obtain government grants to support research and scholarship as well as provide student services and tuition scholarships. In collaboration with the Business Office, the Office of Sponsored programs offers the full range of pre and post award services to the University community.

The Office of Sponsored Programs offers the following services:

  • Project and program development assistance
  • Sponsor identification and research
  • Budget development
  • Editing and document review
  • Administrative review and signatures
  • Proposal Submittal
  • Post-award administrative services
