Women's Cross Country is 15 at NCAA DII Championship

Lewis Women's Cross Country Finishes 15th at NCAA DII National Championships

The Lewis University women's cross country team finished 15th overall at the NCAA DII National Championships Saturday (Nov. 18). The Flyers finished with 428 points to conclude the 2023-2024 season.

Leading the way for Lewis was junior Hannah Smrcka (Cory, Penn.), who finished the 6K race with a time of 21:01.5. Senior Anna Kozak (Lockport, IL/Lockport Township) was the next Flyer to cross the finish line after recording a time of 21:42.4.

Senior Abbey Kozak (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) was not far behind Anna as she finished with a time of 21:42.5. Senior Caroline Pacer-Ryan (Wheaton, IL/West Chicago) crossed the finish line next for Lewis after recording a time of 21:44.4.

Sophomore Kate Guderjan (Frankfort, IL/Lincolnway East) was right behind Pacer-Ryan after finishing the race with a time of 22:02.1. Following Guderjan was junior Naylah Allen (Oswego, Ill./Oswego East) who recorded a time of 22:09.8. Graduate student Rachael Morrison (Huntley, IL) finished the race for Lewis recording a final time of 22:55.6
