Prayers and Sympathy for the Loss of Dr. Lucien Ngalamou Pideu

It is with great sadness that I write that Lewis University was notified of the death of a beloved colleague, Dr. Lucien Ngalamou Pideu. The professor of Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences died in a car accident on August 19.

Lewis University extends our deepest sympathy and prayerful consolation to the family and friends of Lucien Ngalamou Pideu.

He influenced the lives of many students over his seven years of service at Lewis University. He served as an Associate Professor for five years until being promoted to Professor in May 2022.

The inspirational educator earned his doctorate degree in Physics from Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France.

Counseling services are available to students through the Lewis University Student Wellnees Center in the lower level of Mother Teresa Hall or online 24 hours a day, seven days a week through TimelyCare.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to employees, family, and friends 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. September 16 at Leak & Sons Funeral Home (18400 Pulaski Rd, Country Club Hills, IL 60478).
