Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) - April 23 Update

Published: April 23, 2020.

As you may be aware, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has extended the Stay at Home order for our state until May 30.

As a result, our Lewis University Romeoville Campus will remain open in a virtual way through at least the end of the Stay at Home order in Illinois. Our Oak Brook campus and Albuquerque campuses will remain closed until further notice.

The well-being of the members of the Lewis University community is our highest priority, and our virtual campus enables our university to continue our academic Mission.

  1. The remainder of the 2020 Spring semester and all 2020 Summer term classes are being delivered through online learning methods.
  2. Most university employees and offices are open and accessible through email, phone and the internet. Visit the business hours webpage for an updated schedule for university administrative office hours.
  3. All events on our Romeoville campus are virtual, rescheduled or canceled through the end of the Illinois Stay at Home order.
  4. All our residence halls will remain closed through the conclusion of the summer terms. The Office of Residence Life will communicate details about the process for retrieving belongings from their rooms.
  5. If you must come to campus to complete essential business, be prepared to show your student, faculty or staff ID to Lewis University Police Department at the front entrance.

We are committed to keeping our community and support system strong. Help and assistance is only a click or phone call away. Visit the Lewis University COVID-19 webpage to access our comprehensive webpage that is updated with current information in regards to the Lewis University response to COVID-19.

As the final week of Spring 2020 term classes begins Monday and final exams are the following week, please know that we understand the challenges are plentiful. Although service and support may be slightly different in light of COVID-19, we want to provide services to support you during this stressful time. Super Study provides students with additional support during the final two weeks of the semester. Please visit the Super Study webpage for more information on these Super Study resources.

Thank you for your understanding, patience and resilience. It is during these challenging times, that we truly show our strength and commitment to providing a quality education.
