Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) - April 1 Update

Published: April 1, 2020.

As a result of Governor Pritzker’s extension of the “Stay at Home” order until April 30 in Illinois, Lewis University will remain open in a virtual way through at least Monday, May 1.

Faculty and staff will continue to work remotely in support of our academic mission. Visit Business Hours for the current schedule of university administrative office hours.

Although we have made many adjustments in recent weeks, our university will observe our previously scheduled Easter Holiday Recess. Live online class sessions will not be held April 9-13. University offices will be closed Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 13 so our employees can celebrate the holiday.

Once again, thank you for all your efforts in helping to safeguard our community during this Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. At this time, there are no known Lewis University students, faculty or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19.

I look forward to answering your questions during our “Conversation from Stritch Hall” virtual meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 2 on our Lewis University YouTube page. Join President Livingston and me to discuss our university’s efforts to minimize the impact of the pandemic on our community. Please submit questions in advance or during the livestream to the email.

Dr. Christopher Sindt
