Published: March 31, 2017.

For the fifth year in a row, a group of Lewis Athletic Alumni have generously pledged $10,000 to the Lewis teams that can get the most athletic alumni to participate in the Forever Flyers Challenge.

The challenge will consist of a four-week competition, lasting from March 27th to April 22nd, led by Flyer coaching staffs and the Lewis University athletics and advancement departments to increase alumni giving participation and support.

The Forever Flyers Campaign has raised nearly $100,000 since its inception in 2013 and has helped increase athletic alumni giving from 6% to 15% annually.

"We look forward to another great Forever Flyers Challenge campaign," Lewis Associate Athletics Director and Director of External Operations Brian Sisson said. "Our athletic alumni continues to step up year after year in support of Flyer athletics and we are extremely grateful."

The lead gift of $10,000 will be utilized as a grand prize for the best alumni participation rates amongst teams. Two top prizes of $3,750 will be awarded to one men's team and one women's team that achieves the highest percentage of alumni participation. Further, there will be five $500 prizes that will be awarded to the five teams with the highest increases in alumni participation over last year.
