Higher Learning Commission Application Submitted

We have completed another important milestone on our path to merging with St. Augustine College.
On Thursday, May 18, 2023 we submitted the Change of Control application to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). As outlined in their processes, HLC will now assign a review team to the merger proposal and will schedule a visit to be held in August or September. The visit will also include representatives from the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE).
The submission of the Change of Control application required a significant amount of work from a number of people from Lewis and St. Augustine. I would like to especially acknowledge Dr. Bill Chura, Associate Provost of Research and Educational Effectiveness and Dr. Ana Gil Garcia, Director of Academic Effectiveness from St. Augustine, for their leadership in this process.
