Lewis University Aviation Students earn ISTAT Scholarship

Four Lewis University Aviation students were awarded ISTAT Foundation Scholarships for 2020. The Scholarship Program is dedicated to helping young people develop careers in aviation by offering scholarships to college-level students who are academically qualified and in need of financial support

The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading Foundation (ISTAT Foundation) was founded in 1994 to support individuals and institutions that promote the advancement of commercial aviation and humanitarianism.

The four Lewis University students received scholarships ranging from $5,000-$16,000. Honored students include

  • Olibia Guzman of Chicago, current graduate student in Aviation Transportation and 2016 alumnus in Aviation Security
  • Patrycja Krzystyniak of Palos Hills, senior in Aviation Administration
  • Michael Martinez of Oak Lawn, senior in Aviation Maintenance Management
  • Anthony Molina of Elburn, senior in Aviation Administration, minor in Aviation Dispatch

Funding for programs is provided by annual grants from ISTAT and contributions from individuals and companies. Visit the ISTAT Foundation website for a full list of the recipients.
