Nurse’s Role in Health Policy Discussion Takes Center Stage in College of Nursing and Health Professions

Lauren Underwood, RN presented "The Nurse's Role in Impacting Health Policy" Feb. 28 to more than 60 students, faculty and alumni in the Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Underwood is a registered nurse, with experience in America’s healthcare industry. The Naperville native served as a Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from October 2016 – January 2017 as well as Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from November 2014 – October 2016.
