Dr. Anne Rapp Appointed Interim Dean School for Graduate, Professional, and Continuing Education

Dr. Anne B. Rapp was appointed Interim Dean of the School of Graduate, Professional, and Continuing Education (SGPCE) at Lewis University, effective January 2, 2018. In this post, Rapp will oversee the operations of SGPCE and work with the colleges to support and develop undergraduate, accelerated and graduate programs throughout the university.

The associate professor and coordinator of program development has served as a faculty member since 2008. At Lewis University, she has served as an Associate Professor, Director of Prior Learning Assessment, and Director of the Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies.

Rapp succeeded Dr. Nan Yancey, who retired after 25 years of service with Lewis University.

Prior to Lewis University, Rapp served for nine years at DePaul University. The Chicago resident was Assistant Director for Academic Development at the Steans Center for Community-based Service Learning and taught for the School for New Learning, DePaulís college for adult learners.

Rapp has been honored with the Excellence in Adult Learning Award from Lewis University, and Lifelong Learning Award, School for New Learning, from DePaul University.

Rapp holds a Ph.D. in U.S. History from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a B.A. and M.A. in History at Northern Illinois University. She also earned a Certificate of Mastery in Prior Learning Assessment from the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning.
