LLINOIS MANDATE FOR VACCINATION OF IN-PERSON STUDENTS AND PERSONNEL

Executive Order 2021-22 mandated that all higher education students enrolled in on-campus classes and all university personnel participating in on-campus activities receive a COVID-19 Vaccination.

Unvaccinated higher education students taking in-person classes and all university personnel need to submit a weekly COVID-19 test result to their institution. As recommended by the Illinois Department of Public Health, unvaccinated Lewis University students and employees will need to test weekly with a PCR, not a rapid antigen, test.

All students and employees attending classes or activities on campus must submit their COVID-19 vaccination status on the myLewis App or online. This includes those partially or fully vaccinated as well as those requesting an exemption to vaccination. Please note that vaccine documentation upload needs to be a photo, such as a jpg file, not a PDF.

Students, faculty, and staff should update their vaccination status in the myLewis App or online if they originally reported unvaccinated but have started or completed a series.

LEWIS UNIVERSITY BOOSTER REQUIREMENT

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is recommending those who are at least 18 years old receive a COVID-19 booster at the appropriate time (at least five months after completing the primary COVID-19 vaccination series of Pfizer or Moderna or at least two months after Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen).

Lewis University requires eligible students and employees have a booster by March 14, 2022.

All students and employees attending classes or activities on campus must submit their updated COVID-19 vaccination card after they receive a booster on the myLewis App or online.
