Dean of Students Letter

As you are aware, Illinois is under a Stay at Home Order to help mitigate the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). In recent weeks, Lewis University has taken a variety of steps to protect you and fight against the spread of Covid-19.

We have transitioned all our face-to-face classes to online. The residence halls are closed through the end of the Spring 2020 semester, except to those with extenuating circumstances. Current resident students are prohibited from having guests on campus.

To promote community health efforts, the Lewis University Police Department will be recording the names of individuals accessing campus.  Be prepared to display identification upon entry.  Only persons approved to live on campus or persons with essential business are permitted on campus at this time.

Please contact any of the persons below if you have questions or if you have a need to access campus.

Fred Gandy, Director of Residence Life,
Kathy Slattery, Associate Provost/Dean of Students,
Mary DeGraw, Associate Provost/Dean of Retention,
Mike Zegadlo, Chief of Police,

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this complicated time.

Stay well,

Kathy Slattery
Dean of Student Services
