International Students

Staff from the Office of International Affairs will remain in communication with all international students during the closure. Below is some basic information to assist international students.

For those holding F1/J1 Visas, the university has ensured that all international students can legally remain in the United States, and maintain an active SEVIS i-20 while studying online courses.  The office of International Affairs will follow SEVIS guidelines for this type of incident, so that students can continue to make academic progress towards their degree. 

For those with CPT/OPT requests, the Office of International Affairs will continue to assist you.  All inquiries should be submitted to Michael Fekete (  Specific requests will be handled on a case by case basis. 

For those living on campus, international students who need to remain on campus will be permitted to stay in campus housing.  Please refer questions about staying on campus during the closure to the Office of Residence Life.
