After you have completed the online application, you will need to submit the following documents to the Office of International Admission.

Required Documents for Admission

Documents can be uploaded to your application portal, or submitted by email.

Freshmen Applicants – First year Bachelor’s students

  1. Undergraduate Application
  2. Secondary School score report and graduation certificate
  3. English Test Score Report (see more information below)
  4. Copy of passport

Transfer Applicants – Students with some college experience

  1. Undergraduate Application
  2. Transcript Evaluation of your previous education (see more information below)
  3. English Test Score Report
  4. Copy of passport

Graduate Applicants – First year Master’s students

  1. Graduate Application
  2. Transcript Evaluation of your previous education (see more information below)
  3. English Test Score Report (see more information below)
  4. Statement of Purpose essay
  5. Two Letters of Recommendation
  6. Resume or C.V.
English Test Score Report

Applicants whose previous education was not taught primarily in English must demonstrate English language proficiency.    Lewis University will accept score reports from TOEFL-iBT, IELTS Academic, GTEC, and PTE-A, or the ELS Language Center 112 Certificate.

English Exemption / Waiver of English Requirement – If you attended school in a country where English is the official spoken language, then the English requirement may not be required.  List of exempt countries:  List of exempt countries.   Please email for confirmation.
Additional Note – Lewis University reserves the right to test the English proficiency of all incoming students, and to place students in courses which will help them acquire the English language skills needed to be successful in an academic classroom. 

Transcript Evaluation Report

Any student with post-Secondary school courses must provide a Transcript Evaluation of their education.  You must request a “course by course” evaluation of your transcripts.  You may request an evaluation from any company that is a member of NACES.  Alternatively, Lewis University has partnered with One Earth Evaluations to provide students with a faster and more affordable Transcript Evaluation service. 

Exemption / Waiver of Evaluation Requirement – A transcript evaluation may not be required if your previous school was located in the United States.  If you attended an American community college of university, then send your official transcripts directly to Lewis University. 

Documents Required After Admission

After you have successfully completed your application and submitted the required documents, your application will be reviewed and considered for admission.  After you have been accepted to Lewis University, there are still additional steps to take:
