  1. VISIT THE CAMPUS [ + ]

    One of the best ways to become familiar with Lewis University is to visit the beautiful campus.

    • Campus Visit Days: You will learn about the admission process and financial aid, as well as have the opportunity to meet with faculty to learn more about your major. Students reserve their spot by calling the Office of Admission at (815) 836-5250 or by registering online on the Campus Visit Day web page.

    • Individual Visits: Tours are available Monday through Friday at 9am, 11am, and 2pm. Students and parents may schedule an individual visit by calling the Office of Admission at (815) 836-5250 or by registering online at the Individual Visits web page.

  2. APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID AWARD [ + ]

    If you wish to receive Federal Student Aid, please complete a FAFSA online at www.fafsa.gov. Our school code is 001707. Please contact the Financial Aid Office directly at (815) 836-5263 or via email at finaid@lewisu.edu.


  3. ACCESS YOUR FINANCIAL AID AWARD [ + ]

    Use the myLewis portal for review of all financial aid documents and awards. In order to receive your Federal loan and/or Federal work study you must accept those awards in your myLewis portal. NOTE: You should have received a letter from the Office of Admission with your username and password.


  4. DECLARE YOUR INTENT TO ENROLL [ + ]

    Login to the myLewis portal, click on the New Freshman & Transfers tab, then click on the payment link to submit the $150 tuition deposit. The tuition deposit is fully refundable until May 1.


  5. SECURE YOUR SPOT IN CAMPUS HOUSING [ + ]

    If you plan to live on campus, login to the myLewis portal and submit the online housing application.


  6. ATTEND A NEW FLYER REGISTRATION DAY [ + ]

    The Flyer Registration program will get you started with your academic career at Lewis University by providing academic advising, assisting with class registration and more. Lewis University will inform you of the New Flyer Registration dates as they become available.


  7. SEND YOUR FINAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT [ + ]

    High school graduation and grades still need to be verified once you enroll.

    • Make arrangements to have your official final high school transcript (which includes graduation date) mailed once your final grades are posted, to the following address:

    If a decline in grades occurs after acceptance, Lewis University reserves the right to rescind the admission offer.


  8. SUBMIT YOUR IMMUNIZATION RECORDS [ + ]

    IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR COLLEGE ATTENDANCE
    • Measles - Mumps - Rubella (MMR) - Two doses of MMR vaccine OR positive antibody titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.

    • Diphtheria - Tetanus - Pertussis - Any combination of 3 or more doses of DTP, DTaP, DT, Td, or Tdap. The last dose of vaccine must have been received within the last 10 years. One dose must be a Tdap vaccine.

    • Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV4) – Students 21 years old and younger must show proof of receiving one dose of MCV4 vaccine on or after their 16th birthday. If received before the age of 16, a booster dose is required.

    Beginning with the Summer 2022 term, Lewis University will partner with Med+Proctor for immunization record verification. Please carefully review the information below.

    SIGNING UP FOR MED+PROCTOR
    1. Register for your new Med+Proctor account by visiting http://www.medproctor.com  

    2. Use your Lewis University email address and myLewis credentials to create your account.  

    3. Complete your Lewis University Med+Proctor profile. 

    4. Upload your immunization records to your Med+Proctor account for compliance verification. 

    5. If you do not have your immunization records, download and print the Immunization History Form. Have your medical provider complete and sign the form. Upload the completed form to your Med+Proctor account.  

    6. Once your immunization records are uploaded to your Med+Proctor account, they will be reviewed for compliance. You will be notified by Med+Proctor if any requirements are missing, so it is very important that you check your Lewis U student email account for communications from Med+Proctor.

    *Please note, there is no charge for the standard immunization verification process with Med+Proctor. Free processing time for record review is between 24 and 72 hours. There is an optional $10 fee for expedited processing. The optional $10 fee also allows for lifetime access to your immunization records from Med+Proctor. If you are submitting records prior to the immunization compliance deadline, the expedited review is not necessary.
