The Department of Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences is excited to offer a new Bachelor’s degree in Data Science program at Lewis University. Students gain knowledge in aspects of mathematics, statistics, and computer science needed to collect, analyze, model, and interpret data for a variety of applications and industries. Upon graduation, students will be able to play vital roles in helping organizations of all kind use data to optimize their operations and inform their decision-making.

Data scientists are in demand in virtually every industry. Companies and researchers are looking at how to efficiently store and process data and make sense of it to allow for better decisions. Through Lewis University’s new undergraduate Data Science program, students will build a thorough foundation in computer science, mathematics and statistics that will prepare them to work as effective data science professionals.

Well-qualified students may earn a Master’s degree in Data Science with just one additional year of study.
