Lewis University | Technology Governance

Overview

The primary purpose of technology governance is to ensure that Lewis University invests in appropriate technology resources and support to support the teaching, learning, and research endeavors of the institution.  Working in conjunction with the various campus governance bodies, the new proposed governance structure is intended to find inclusive, collaborative technology solutions that positively impact the mission of Lewis University.  Moreover, the new governance structure is designed to facilitate the planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of technology in all aspects of University operations.

The technology governance structure consists of an executive committee (the University Technology Council) and advisory committees with specialized areas of focus.  The committees will align with the major areas of focus in the University’s technology environment:  student experience, academics and scholarship, enterprise information systems, and technology infrastructure.  The Student Senate will serve as the technology advisory committee for the student experience.
