“History Set in Stone” records a short history of all the buildings and the various statues, plazas and other special features on the Lewis University campus. Each one is given a page and includes a color photograph. This is a valuable resource for those interested in the history of Lewis University, and it serves as a guide for those who take a walking tour of the 400+ acre campus. Brother Joseph Martin, FSC, wrote the descriptions for the entire booklet, using original and secondary source documents from the Brother Ambrose Groble, FSC, University Archives. He also gathered the color photos from several sources and asked a few photographers to take some current pictures. The booklet was published in May 2016 and will be updated as necessary.
