The Office of Marketing and Communications will work with other University departments and offices to create the necessary artwork for additional printed materials (i.e., plaques, certificates or prizes, etc).
All logos and seals used on Lewis University apparel / merchandise must
follow the color, size and variation guidelines previously discussed. To
help ensure continuity, a separate merchandise committee has been formed
to discuss and approve official merchandise and apparel designs. Some of
the guidelines approved are:
<Figure 1>
• The letters LU are not to be used as identification of Lewis University;
• The word Lewis should not be used alone on items unless the full name (Lewis University) appears elsewhere on the item;
• Patterned materials (except for plaid) are to be avoided unless cleared by the committee;
• Shields and artwork resembling “official” logos are not to be included in Lewis designs; and
• All non-bookstore designs are to be cleared with the Office of Marketing and Communications.
Fleet graphics, in the form of truck and van signage, are a mobile representation
of Lewis University’s visual identity. These vehicles arrive and depart
the campus daily, providing many opportunities to deliver consistent identification
to the community at large. Therefore, vehicles owned by Lewis University
should incorporate the University logo as shown.
