ITSO MISSION STATEMENT

"To enhance student outcomes through technology by providing reliable, secure, accessible, useable, efficient, modern information, telecommunication and multi-media equipment and services that meet the teaching, learning and administrating needs of our faculty, students, and staff."

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY

The Instructional Technology Services Organization (ITSO) is responsible for providing computer resources and technical support to the Lewis University community. ITSO supports students, faculty, and staff in their use of technologies through management and maintenance of the campus network and Lewis University owned equipment, Help Desk support, Telecommunications Services, Flyervision Cable TV, academic computer labs, on-line student records and course registration, Internet access, Lewis e-mail accounts, on-line learning/teaching, technology-enhanced classrooms, and wireless network access.

   
 

 

HELP DESK SUPPORT

The Help Desk is normally staffed while classes are in session or when the Library is open.  Help Desk is available for technology support by calling the on-campus extension 5950 or (815) 836-5950.  Click on a link below to find specific technology information at Lewis University.

  • Computer and Software Purchase
    Lewis University students can purchase personal computer hardware and software at a reduced price via the Lewis University website.

  • Library Databases
    The Lewis University Library provides, at no charge to students, access to a wide variety of electronic databases.

  • Statement of Acceptable Use of Information Technologies
    The Lewis University Network Services Acceptable Use Policy describes conditions for the use of information technologies at Lewis University. The document governs specific acceptable use policies but may not address every situation encountered in the use of information technologies at the University. The intent of this document is to establish a framework in which each situation may be evaluated.
