Residence Hall Features and Amenities
The convenient residence hall amenity fee covers the following features:

Cody Hall

Cody Hall lies in the far southeast corner of campus, an attractive location for business majors. A unique feature of Cody Hall is that it houses the largest single rooms on campus. The building has recently been updated, providing housing for 59 residents and offering a personal sink in several rooms. This three floor building is co-ed by floor. Air conditioning is available in the recreational lounge located in the basement.

De La Salle Hall

North

De La Salle Hall North in an intensive study hall for students in good judicial standing. De La Salle Hall North, commonly referred to as “D-North” by the students, is composed of 59 single occupancy rooms each measuring 8’4” x 12’ and one double occupancy room on each of the three residential floors. All rooms are air conditioned and equipped with an in-room sink and vanity. A unique feature of this hall is that it is adjoined to De La Salle central, which hosts the Courtyard Café, Mailroom, and Bookstore as well as the College of Education and School of Broadcasting/Journalism.

De La Salle Hall South, referred to as “D-South” by students, is a co-ed residence hall, males and females separated by floor, which hosts 61 residents. Each room is a double occupancy room measuring 11’8” x 15’4” equipped with a personal sink and vanity. This building is connected to De La Salle Hall North by De La Salle central, which hosts the Courtyard Café, Mailroom, and Bookstore as well as the College of Education and School of Broadcasting/Journalism. De La Salle Hall South shares the largest recreational lounge on campus with De La Salle Hall North.

  • Why did you want to become an RA?
    A: I decided to apply to be an RA because of the incredible family atmosphere I experienced in the residence hall my freshman year.  I knew that using my creative personality I could help coordinate cool events that my residents will enjoy. Also, to recreate a home environment I experienced and help my residents feel that De LaSalle is truly their home away from home, not just a Residence Hall.

    A: Jake the Dog from Adventure Time, because not only is he hilarious but also reliable, friendly, trustworthy, wise and a great friend to Finn the Human.

Dorothy Day Hall

Dorothy Day Hall, the newest addition to the Lewis University campus, is located on the far south end of campus. Housing 130 residents, this four story sectional living community is unique because it offers Living Learning Communities for students sharing common majors. Living Communities include, but are not limited to, Intense Study, Alcohol-Free Living and Academic Major. This residence hall is co-ed by section. A lounge with TV as well as laundry and full-service kitchens are found on each floor; the main floor lounge also has a billiards table. Seven study lounges are available throughout the building for the residents’ use. The Dorothy Day lower level houses Conferencing and Events offices.

  • Why did you want to become an RA?
    A: I decided to become an RA after watching my own RAs during my Freshman year. There were some things I liked about what they did, and other things I would have done differently. During my first year as an RA I strived to be the best RA I thought I could be. It ended up paying off as I was nominated by my fellow RAs as RA of the year.

  • If you could be a cartoon character who would it be?
    A: If I were a cartoon character I would want to be one of the Power Puff girls. I would love to have superpowers and defeat Mojo Jojo.

  • If I were a cartoon character I would be Rigby and Mordecai from Regular Show because they're my complete opposite but are so goofy!


Fitzpatrick Hall

Fitzpatrick Hall features single and double occupancy rooms in a sectional style setting. Six residents occupy one section and share a common bathroom with six residents of another section. A unique feature of Fitzpatrick Hall is that residents enter their section through an outdoor balcony. This residence hall is co-ed by floor. The hall lounge provides a full service kitchen, pool table and TV. An outdoor courtyard has stationary grills and picnic tables available to residents. Fitzpatrick is connected to Common Grounds; a 24 hour/ 7 day a week convenience store and lounge.

Mother Teresa Hall

Mother Teresa Hall offers single and double occupancy rooms in a sectional style setting; six residents sharing a common bathroom. This residence hall is co-ed by section. Lounges with TV and study areas, as well as laundry and full-service kitchens are found on each floor; the main floor lounge includes a billiards table. The Mother Teresa Hall lower level houses the Center for Health and Counseling as well as several classrooms.

North Hall

North Hall has suite style living where two double and two single rooms share a semi-private lounge and kitchenette. Hosting over 170 residents, this three story residence hall has abundant lounge spaces including a multipurpose room, conference room, full-service kitchen/game room and fireside sitting room. This residence hall is co-ed by floor. North hall is located in the center of campus, a convenient walk to any academic building, making this hall attractive to all majors.

Pope John Paul II offers single and double occupancy rooms in a sectional style setting; six residents sharing a common bathroom. This residence hall is co-ed by section. Lounges with TV and study areas, as well as laundry and full-service kitchens are found on each floor; the main floor lounge includes a billiards table. The Pope John Paul II lower level houses offices for student media organizations as well as classrooms for the communications department.

    A: The reason I chose to be an RA is because being an RA is something that I looked forward to since day one. I always looked up to my RA's and they always made an impact on my life. Seeing this made me want to do the same. I love being an RA because I love helping people and being able to put a smile on everyone's face. Whether its the big things or the small things, I am eager to make the best of every situation. I get the ability to create a sense of community and make it feel more like home then just a dorm. I love every minute of being an RA and would not change it for anything in the world.

Ryan Hall is located on the southeast corner of campus next to Cody Hall and directly in front of the softball diamond. Ryan Hall has recently been renovated, giving it a new fresh look for its 59 residents. It accommodates single and double occupancy living and offers a personal sink in several rooms. This three floor building is co-ed by floor. Air conditioning is available in the basement’s recreational lounge.

    A: I chose to become a RA because I enjoy being there for people when they need help. Whether that be as simple as how to use the laundry machines to have trouble in a class and needing some advice. Being an RA isn't just about making sure the rules that the dorms have are being followed, it's about getting to know your residents and building a relationship with them.

  • If you could be a cartoon character who would it be?
    A: If I was a cartoon character I would definitely be Ariel from the Little Mermaid. I would be Ariel because she is always looking for an adventure and has a free spirit. Being able to travel through the sea with my little fish pals would be amazing! Always seeing new things and picking up new treasures for my secret cavern! Who knows maybe I would even meet my Prince along the way.

Northwest Tower

St. Charles Borromeo Northwest Tower is located on the north end of campus. This unique Residence Hall is often referred to as the Upperclassmen Living Experience. 4 to 5 Residents occupy a section in this sectional style setting. This residence hall is co-ed by section. Lounges with TV and study areas, as well as laundry and full-service kitchens are found on each floor. St. Charles Borromeo Northwest Tower is connect to the Flight Deck dining facility, College of Business, class rooms, and the Convocation Hall.

South

St. Charles Borromeo South Hall lies on the North end of Campus. This Resident Hall is a traditional style setting, co-ed by floor, which features double occupancy rooms housing 52 upperclassmen residents. Unique to this Hall, each room is equipped with a couch, coffee table and a larger micro-fridge. This hall’s lounge provides a full service kitchen, laundry, and TV. St. Charles Borromeo South is connect to the Flight Deck dining facility, College of Business, class rooms, and the Convocation Hall.
