Emergency Services

• Urgent Care During Center Hours
  Students are encouraged to call the Center for assistance during Center hours. Staff will respond as soon as possible and assist students in receiving appropriate care. In the case of a life-threatening emergency, students should call Campus Security at Ext. 5222 for emergency assistance.
  
  
• Urgent Health Need After Center Hours
  By calling Campus Security at Ext. 5222, emergency assistance will be provided.
  
  
• Urgent Counseling Need After Center Hours
  Any student who requires emergency after-hours Counseling Services should contact the Campus Life staff at DUTY (Ext. 3889) or Campus Security at Ext. 5222 and he or she will be aided in securing appropriate assistance.

Ambulance Services

Should University staff determine the need for an emergency transfer to the hospital, either for medical or psychiatric reasons, the Romeoville Police/Fire departments will be called. The individuals who respond to the 911 call will assess the situation and, if appropriate, transfer the student to a local hospital. In these cases, students are financially responsible for all costs related to the ambulance and off-campus care. Staff does not transport students off campus. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange transportation to an off-campus care facility in non-emergency situations.
