Start off on the right foot with a class that stimulates your critical thinking skills, teaches you about yourself as a learner, and enables you to explore your academic and professional goals.

Adult students seeking admission or re-admission to Lewis University who are admitted before the end of the term are eligible for a scholarship to cover the tuition for the course. 

The Adult College Experience (ACE) is a 3 credit course at Lewis University that is the pathway to completing your degree.  It will enable you to:

• succeed in accelerated courses
• excel in online and classroom learning environments
• hone your writing and critical thinking skills
• revisit and improve how to study most effectively
• enhance your professional and academic goals
• plan financially and academically so you complete your degree
• learn about how to earn college credit for knowledge gained from life experience
• become more aware of your learning style so you maximize your effectiveness in class and in your profession

Plus, the course orients you to all of the resources Lewis University has to offer, including:  online learning tools and courses, academic resources, and Library research.

Professor Meena Razvi, Ed.D.

Adult education has the power to create a safe environment for students to practice new knowledge, collaborate, engage with new content/ideas, and build a bridge towards transfer of learning.

Meena is a new member of the adjunct faculty at Lewis. Meena graduated with a doctoral degree in adult and higher education from Northern Illinois University, and a master’s degree in training and development from Roosevelt University. Meena teaches international business and organizational behavior at Lewis in the blended and face-to-face formats. Meena’s scholar/practitioner interests include multicultural workforce development and diversity inclusiveness, by applying adult learning best practices. In addition, Meena brings her multicultural workforce development and expatriate coaching experiences with corporate clients into her classrooms to share current events and trends in the business world.

In her spare time, Meena enjoys traveling to meet and learn from people among different cultures regarding their values and beliefs, and how these affect work/life preferences. She is planning a trip to Qatar/Dubai this winter where she will visit family as well as celebrate her wedding anniversary en route.

Meena was born in Kenya, moved to England, and emigrated to USA in 1986. She speaks 3 Indian languages (Gujarati, Urdu, and Hindi) and is hoping to learn conversational Spanish.
