Lewis University is striving to be a leader in the use of technology for
teaching and learning. Our main campus located in Romeoville is completely
equipped with wireless Internet nodes (WIN@Lewis), which provides access
for all faculty, staff and students. In the residence halls students
can opt to use the wireless network or the Lewis University network to access
the Internet. To meet most students’ academic needs, Lewis University
has established recommended standards for laptops and desktops and
negotiated special pricing for these systems. Thus, we have teamed up with Dell and
Apple to offer great savings on Recommended Computers for our students.
Just click on the Dell or Apple logo to get the equipment that best
serves your
area of study and your previous computing experience as well as to
obtain special pricing options.
In addition, Scholar Buy has provided
a full range of educational software lines including Microsoft and
other products at discount prices for
our students. The Lewis University standard software is Microsoft
Office. Note that all
students in the residence halls connecting to the Lewis University
network are supplied with a copy of Symantec Anti-Virus software
free of charge.
