Project Management degree program is designed to get the job done
Published: July 12, 2012.

Projects are the foundation of a business. There is always a project to complete within a timeline and budget. The Graduate School of Management at Lewis University is addressing this need with the Master of Science in Project Management. The program begins this fall and it will prepare students to complete projects under budget, deliver projects ahead of schedule, effectively organize project resources, control project deliverables, maximize human resource potential and avoid common project management mistakes.

“Discussions with business leaders and inquiries from abroad prompted us to consider this much-needed program. Construction, healthcare, engineering, information technology and other industries are in need of employees that specialize in project management,” commented Father Kevin Spiess, Ph.D., director of the Project Management program.

The Lewis University program will also provide unique preparation for the PMP® Exam. The highly regarded credential is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), the world's leading association for the project management profession. Lewis University is a Registered Educational Provider at PMI. All courses and seminars are approved as Professional Development Units for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification.

Ethically grounded and career focused, Lewis University's business degree programs combine critical thinking with data analysis, financial understanding, technological knowledge and essential communication skills that prepare students with a well-rounded and comprehensive business foundation. The programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and recognized by many prestigious organizations. Lewis University is designated as a National Center for Academic Excellence by the Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency.
