College of Business honors outstanding students

The Lewis University College of Business honored Tracey Vittorio and Andrew Birks in the Adult Accelerated Business Program with the Outstanding Student Award.

Every year, the College of Business honors students who demonstrate their hard work and commitment to the mission of the university, while also taking into consideration the number of majors/minors the student is undertaking, their involvement in the college and university and recommendations from faculty and staff.

Vittorio earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management. She plans to continue her education by pursuing a masterís degree in Library Science. Vittorio was described as focused, collaborative and dedicated by her faculty. She was praised for her quality work, always being well-prepared, asking great questions and actively participating during discussions. Her papers and projects were always well written and of the highest quality.

Birks earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management with an Information Technology Management concentration. He demonstrated strong critical thinking and comprehension abilities. He was focused and asked meaningful questions during group discussions. Faculty members referred to him as an individual who was always prepared, engaged, dedicated and proactive. Birks was praised for contributing deep and significant insights, providing considerable personal knowledge about class topics and encouraging other students to do their best as well.
