Gateways to Opportunity has entitled Lewis University for Early Childhood Education Credential Level 5. The credentials are effective through 2018.
As an entitled institution, Lewis University students will have the opportunity to qualify for credentials as they take courses or complete a degree through the Early Childhood Education Program. Lewis University is among a very select group of institutions in Illinois to be chosen for the Gateways to Opportunity credentials. These credentials reflect multiple professional standards, including National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Illinois Professional Teaching Standards. Gateways to Opportunity is an Illinois Professional Development System and is designed to provide support and guidance to practitioners who help serve children and families in Illinois.
