Published: January 30, 2013. Lewis University Society for Human Resources Management chapter organized a clothing and non-perishable items drive for three non-profit organizations (Purrs from the Heart, Goodwill and Salvation Army). The month-long drive collected nearly 20 large bags of clothing and non-perishable items from various locations around the Romeoville Main Campus. “It was a big success and we received more donations than we expected,” commented Neena Gopalan, faculty advisor and assistant professor of psychology. “In addition to helping many people, it was a good learning experience for our students.” The student organization’s officers who helped coordinate the event were: Sarah Leahy, Yulma Martinez and Katie Puckett.
