Lewis' Holesinger Takes Tenth at NCAA Indoor Championships

The NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships finished with Bryce Holesinger (Fulton, Ill./Fulton) placing tenth in the heptathlon with 5196 setting a new school record.

Holesinger came in eighth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.63. He went on to take tenth in the 1000 meter after finishing in 2:50.37. In the pole vault he came in fourth with the bar set at 4.60 meters.

"Bryce battled through a tough weekend, this was a very deep field and there was no room for error." Lewis men's track and field head coach Dana Schwarting said. "He finished three spots higher then he was ranked coming in, and set a new school record in the process. I am very proud of his effort all weekend."

Not only did Holesinger set a new school record but he also earned a second team All-American honor in the process.
