In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Lewis University is hosting four evening events which are open to the public. The keynote speakers represent different perspectives on disabilities.
Kathy Nimmer, 2015 Indiana Teacher of the Year, is blind. As a speaker and author she draws upon her personal experiences.
Dr. David Perry is a disability activist and journalist. He writes about disability, police violence, parenting, gender and history.
Jonathon Mooney also draws from personal experiences for his best-selling books. He is known for his mentoring and advocacy work on behalf of students with learning differences.
