Utility Failures

1. In the event of utility failure (electrical, water or gas), contact Facilities Management at extension 5404 or Campus Security at extension 5911.
   
   
2. If phones are out, use cell phones to contact Facilities at (815) 836-5404 or Campus Security at (815) 836-5911.
   
   
3. Remain in place, if conditions warrant, until advised to leave by either facilities or Campus Security or until the utility failure is over. Exit hallways, stairwells and exit doors will be lighted by emergency lighting to aid in evacuation if necessary.
   
   
4. University administration will determine if normal business activities can continue or should be moved or cancelled.
