When is the best time to apply?
Although our Freshman Regular Admission deadline is April, early response applicants have the best chance at both scholarships and acceptance. >

When will I find out if I have been accepted?
Upon receiving your completed application, the Office of Undergraduate Admission will notify you of your status within 1 to 3 weeks.

Are there opportunities to spend the night on campus?
Yes. We offer many different programs to help you experience campus life at Lewis for yourself before making your college decision, including overnight opportunities. You must be an admitted freshman in order to participate in an overnight program.

Do freshmen have to live on campus?
No. While 60% of our freshmen do choose to live on campus, it is not required. View your residence hall options at Lewis.

Can freshmen have cars on campus?
Yes. Freshmen may bring cars to campus. A Lewis University parking permit costs $50 per semester.

Can I choose my own roommate?
Yes. Both roommates will need to commit to enrolling at Lewis University and have selected each other as roommates. If roommate choice is not mutual, you will not be assigned as roommates. Note that all freshmen may only be assigned to first-year living environments.

Does Lewis have an Honors Program?
Yes. We call our honors program the Lewis University Scholars Academy. Learn more about our Scholars Academy, its benefits and your eligibility requirements.

Does Lewis offer credit for Advanced Placement (AP) Tests?
Yes. You may earn university credit before enrolling at Lewis by testing above the minimum score for a particular subject. Review our AP credit table for more information.

Does Lewis offer credit for International Baccalaureate?
Yes. You may earn university credit before enrolling at Lewis by testing above the minimum score for a particular subject. Review our IB credit table for more information.
