College Illinois!

College Illinois! is a 529 pre-paid tuition plan that assists students in paying for their continuing education at most public, private and community colleges. When using this benefit at Lewis University, it is important that the following steps be taken:

If you would like to use your College Illinois! benefits, you are required to complete either an internal College Illinois! Enrollment Certification Form or request that College Illinois! send us an Authorized Billing Form. This step must be completed each semester that you want to use your College Illinois! benefit.

Step 2

Students who use College Illinois! are encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as the program does not cover full tuition and fees at private universities. To apply for a FAFSA, please go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.

*College Illinois! currently pays the following amounts:

  • University prepaid tuition: $424.40 per credit hour
  • Community College prepaid tuition: $120.20 per credit hour
