The Study Abroad office provides students at Lewis University the unique chance to complement and enhance their academic experience with a variety of international opportunities. Programs run anywhere from a few weeks to an academic year and offer Lewis courses that can earn general education, elective, minor, and/or major credits depending on the program.
Getting started on your study abroad journey is easy. Once you are a sophomore with at least a 3.0 GPA, you are eligible. Meet with the staff in the Study Abroad office to discuss your options and be guided through the application process.
A student that enrolls in a Lewis University sponsored Study Abroad program will be considered for financial aid as if they were enrolled at Lewis. A student that enrolls in a non-sponsored Study Abroad program approved for Credit by the Academic Department will be considered for all financial aid with the exception of any Lewis Institutional financial aid.
Studying abroad fits into your academic plan because credits earned abroad count toward your Lewis degree. You earn credit toward your general education, major, minor, and/or elective requirements.
