Degree Format

The Human Resource Management program is housed in the Department of Psychology and provided by Lewis' School for Professional and Continuing Education. The program is designed for working professionals like you.

Classes are taught by experienced professionals, who serve as guides and mentors. Small class sizes encourage active participation and stimulating discussion. You will be challenged and inspired by the diverse experiences your classmates bring to each meeting. The curriculum is designed to help you draw on your own unique life experiences and job skills, helping you build on what you already know.

You can take classes in the evenings, at several regional locations throughout the Chicago area. Each course is worth three semester credits, and can be completed in five- or eight-week sessions. Classes are offered online and in face-to-face formats.

To complete your Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management, you must meet several requirements:

  • Completion of at least 128 semester credit hours.
  • Completion of 32 semester graded credit hours at Lewis, including four upper division courses.
  • Maintain a GPA of at least 2.00 for all courses taken at Lewis, and a 2.20 average for major courses.
