What specialty tracks do you offer?
Nursing Administration, Nursing Education, and Adult Nurse Practitioner.
What campuses do you offer the MSN Nursing program?
The core courses and nursing administration and nursing education courses
are offered at our Oak Brook and Tinley Park campuses. The Adult
Nurse Practitioner courses are offered at our Oak Brook campus with
labs at Romeoville.
Do you offer the MSN online?
Yes, the Nursing Administration and Nursing Education programs are
offered completely online.
Can I get an MSN even though I only have an RN?
Yes. If you have a non-nursing baccalaureate degree and an RN, you
may be eligible to do the RN to MSN degree, in which you will complete
four bridge courses before moving on to the MSN curriculum.
Can I get another graduate degree and my MSN?
Yes. We offer a dual-degree program with MSN and MBA, with an additional
18-21 credit hours required beyond MSN alone in order to earn both
degrees.
What is the format of the program?
Classes are 8 weeks, offered alternately in online and face-to-face
format. Adult Nurse Practitioner courses are offered in 16 week,
face-to-face format.
Do I have to take the GRE for admission?
No, the GRE is not required for admission.
Do I have to begin the degree a certain semester?
There are two, 8 week sessions per semester. Students can begin coursework
four different times per academic year.
Can I apply for the program online?
Yes, you can apply at www.lewisu.edu/apply. In addition, supplementary
materials are available online for
your convenience.
