Master of Business Administration

The Lewis University MBA curriculum offers a solid theoretical foundation, and current practical skills to meet the highly complex nature of today's businesses. The curriculum emphasizes the foundations of managerial competence.

Phase I - Foundation Courses (21 hours)

All Lewis MBA students must satisfy Phase I course requirements.  These seven required courses (see below) provide the background and essential preparation for advanced study.  If an MBA student is required to take all seven of the Foundation courses, the seventh course may be used to satisfy a Phase IV (elective) requirement.

Students with undergraduate degrees in business may be eligible for a waiver of some or all of the Foundation courses.  Students who have earned a grade "B-" or better in an undergraduate course or a "B" or better in a graduate course equivalent to a foundation course offered by Lewis University may be eligible for a waiver. Undergraduate course equivalents are described in the foundation course descriptions.

Transfer credit must have been earned prior to matriculation.

Phase II - Core Courses (24 hours)

Eight managerial courses comprise the core of the MBA curriculum.  Up to two (6 credit hours) can be transferred in from another college/university if the course is equivalent.
