About Our Students

Our students come from many far-away places, for instance: Thailand, France, Kenya, Brazil, Korea, Poland, Palestine, Ghana, Argentina, Jordan, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, and Japan. They join the larger international community of students at Lewis University, who come from about 30 countries around the world.

The students participate in an International Student Association, which organizes activities, solves problems, and helps newcomers feel at home. Students are also served by International Student Services (815-836-5635), which helps students with questions they have concerning travel, legalities, and Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Most of our ESL and international students live in campus housing, and all students may participate in the Lewis University Arts and Ideas Program, which provides free lectures, presentations, movies, concerts, plays, and other activities and programs
