Adult Accelerated Undergraduate

I welcome you to the Accelerated Business Programs Web site. The College of Business has offered accelerated business programs since 1991; these programs enjoy a rich tradition as one of the most established accelerated programs in our region. Our programs are taught by seasoned, practitioner-faculty that blend fundamental business principles and concepts with practical workplace experience.

While our history in accelerated education area is strong, we continue to offer challenging programs that meet the expectations of working adults and the business community. Our programs are characterized by rigorous content and instruction delivered in a dynamic classroom environment. Students enjoy flexible scheduling and first-rate student services. Finally, students acquire knowledge and skills that emphasize practical application.

All of our Accelerated Business Programs meet the three-fold purpose of the College of Business:

(1) to help students understand the function of business in the development and stability of local, national and international societies,

(2) to assist students in their mastery of the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in business, and

(3) to instill in business graduates capabilities for quality decision-making and leadership, with an ethical sensitivity and sense of justice and social responsibility.

I would not be where I am today without my degree. While I was going to night school at Lewis, I was working as a mailman for the post office in Chicago. After I received my degree I became a supervisor for about 1 1/2 years at the U.S.P.S. I would not have become a supervisor without my degree. Then the opportunity to work for American Family came along. I wouldn't have even been given an interview if I didn't have my college degree. The skills I learned in managing your business in my courses has helped me to build my agency from the ground up to a current count of over 2,600 active policies in less than 7 years.

I am eternally grateful to Lewis University for the education they gave me. I would not be the successful businessman I am today without my degree from Lewis University. My degree opened the door for me to make a better life for myself and my family. I am happily married and look forward to starting a family soon. My degree has given me the peace of mind and confidence that I can be a success in this world and take excellent care of my family.
