The Public Relations major is an interdisciplinary program for students interested in a career in public relations, marketing communications or media relations. Students take coursework on the theory and practice of public relations and develop skills in research, media management, publicity, event management, and the creative production of promotional materials. Students develop skills in writing, layout and design, as well as technical skills in desktop publishing, photography, new communication technologies, and the use of the Internet.
