COURSE: 13-320 Theories of Geometry (4)
Students explore Euclid’s geometry, its history, its strengths and weaknesses, advanced problems and its impact on the development of geometry. This latter topic includes axiomatic systems and the nature of proof, the parallel axiom, non-Euclidean geometries, projective geometry, and transformation geometry. Prerequisite: 13-201.
