SOCIAL WORK AND HUMAN SERVICES: SPECIALIZATION D: COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION/BACHELOR OF ARTS

SPECIALIZATION D: COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION

Working with large groups of people in need (macro practice) is the focus of this specialization. Students are taught the essentials of social planning and social action. Students are prepared for entry-level jobs in social service agencies working with all kinds of people in need, especially large groups of people (neighborhoods, with respect to AIDS education, and so on). This specialization also prepares students for graduate school. An additional two courses will be added to the requirements of students who plan to pursue graduate school.
