COURSE: 15-275 Existentialism (3)
This course explores the historical background and basic concepts of existential philosophy, including radical freedom, authenticity, commitment and transcendence. At least one literary work by an existential philosopher is studied, as well as selections from Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Sartre and Marcel. Prerequisite: 15-110 Introduction to Philosophy or the consent of the instructor.
