COURSE: 30-231 Health Assessment (3)
This course takes a holistic approach to health and physical assessment by nurses. Critical thinking is introduced to organize information and identify needs of the individual across the life span. Basic health assessment skills are acquired in a laboratory setting with application in a clinical setting. Prerequisite: Second-semester Sophomore Nursing majors; Nursing 30-201 and 30-230, or concurrently; Chemistry 03- 105; Biology 02-101, 02-102, 02-103, 02-104, 02- 225 and 02-227; Psychology 26-220 or concurrently; Biology 02-370 or concurrently; and consent of the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
