COURSE: 16-304 Athletic Training Clinical I (1)
This course requires the accumulation of 250 clinical hours of hands-on experience in a traditional athletic setting in an on- or off-campus facility supervised by a Certified Athletic Trainer and assigned by the instructor. Responsibilities include injury assessments, prevention measures, administrative duties and day-to-day athletic training room responsibilities. This course also discusses emergency procedures related to athletic training, including AED training, immobilization and transportation techniques, and developing an emergency action plan. Students must provide their own transportation to clinical site. Prerequisite: Admission to the Athletic Training Program and consent of program director; 16-264, 16-266. Offered: Fall and Spring.
