Undergraduate Course Catalog 2004-2005
NURSING RN/BSN TRACK/BACHELOR OF SCIENCE
Total Credit Hours: 128
Major Credit Hours: 23
The RN/BSN track is designed to meet the unique needs of the professional nurse licensed to practice who, having graduated from a diploma school of nursing, associate degree nursing program, or foreign-based program, seeks to earn a bachelor of science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Lewis articulates with NLNAC accredited hospital-based schools of nursing and associate degree nursing programs. The RN/BSN student who has graduated from an accredited nursing program can have up to six nursing courses waived. Credit for the six clinical nursing courses may be awarded via challenge examination if additional college credit hours are needed for graduation.
The College of Nursing and Health Professions will accept national accredited professional nursing certifications in lieu of related challenge examinations.
