The juvenile criminal justice system is viewed from both a historical and contemporary perspective with an emphasis on delinquency theories and prevention. Major topics include delinquency and community, arrest, pre-trial detention, court procedures and personnel, probation, training schools and camps, community-based networks, parole, release and recidivism.
