COURSE: 78-206 Social Welfare I (3)
This course introduces students to the Social Welfare System in our society. The Social Welfare System is defined as a system of arrangements, programs and mechanisms–formal or informal, governmental or non-governmental–that attempt to meet the needs of individuals and families who cannot fulfill such needs through their own resources. This course examines the Social Welfare System from both a historical and a contemporary perspective.
