COURSE: 06-111 College Writing I (3)
The focus of this course is on the writing of papers based on single sources, with special attention to summary, analysis, evaluation and personal reflection. The development of a personal and credible voice is one of the main goals of the course. Documentation conventions, as well as search strategies, both print and electronic, are also addressed. The course uses both word processing and networked software to generate and evaluate writing. Prerequisite: Placement examination. College Writing I is a prerequisite for all 200-level courses in English.
