Department of Aviation - Master of Science in Aviation and Transportation

All candidates for admission must possess a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with either a major in a related field or work experience in a related field.

Applicants must submit:

  • a completed application;

  • academic transcripts from each institution attended;

  • a one to two page personal statement describing their background and how the degree relates to their career goals;

  • three letters of recommendation (one from a faculty member familiar with the applicant’s academic performance, one from an employer, and one from anyone who can speak to the applicant’s likely success in the program);

  • a non-refundable application fee.

Applicants will be informed in writing of the decision of the Graduate Council, which makes admission decisions.

Full admission students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, calculated based on the most recent 60 semester hours. Applicants with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 but above 2.5 may be provisionally admitted. Provisionally admitted students who complete the first 9 sem. hours of graduate study with a GPA of 3.0 or higher will be reviewed for full admission by the Chair of the Department and the Director of the Program.
